It’s time to kick aside furs and embrace feathers and that’s why they are ruling the red carpet. Feathers have become the hot favorite of our celebrities and they are frequently seen wearing impressive plumages. We don’t mind the fact that they add the right element of drama to our dear beauties. The best part of this current trend is that the stars are looking effervescent in them. Feathers are being used on gowns, capes and even jumpsuits and definitely upping the glamour quotient. Check out the star who literally killed it with feathers!

At the People en Español 50 Most Beautiful Gala, our very own Eva Longoria was seen wearing a Marchesa jumpsuit whose upper portion was decorated with black feathers. Eva proved us how feathers are not just for the gowns!

Naomi Campbell

Here we were thinking that feathers have replaced fur and there was Naomi Campbell combining these two. At the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition she sported a high-low skirt. While the top had the fur, the bottom had the feathers.

Katrina Kaif

At the Indian actress’ first Canner outing she did steal a few hearts by going all black. As the L'Oréal Paris ambassador, Katrina wore an Oscar de la Renta gown that had feathery plumes as appliques that seemed to blossom giving the gown an ombre effect. The classic black lace only added the required appeal that made her look complete.

Naomi Watts

Naomi Watts Elie Saab’s couture gown featured a skirt-top combination where the skirt had soft feathers and the top had glittering embellishments. This she wore at the La Tete Haute premiere of the Cannes International Film Festival.

Sophie Marceau

At the Cannes photocall for the festival juries, French actress Sophie wore a sassy Nina Ricci dress. A simple yet elegant slip-inspired dress in navy color, it had black feathers all over.

The Ralph Lauren gown made Eleanor look absolutely gorgeous. The gown was completely covered in silvery feathers which fanned towards the hem to create a mermaid skirt effect. the gown was unique, no doubt.

Kate Moss

Kate Moss’s gown makes it to our list of the ones who wore feathers on black. Moss shined at theamfAR Hong Kong Gala where she wore quite an understated black Marc Jacobs which had beaded sheath and a feathered cape. The cape emphasized the shoulders and created a powerful silhouette.
