Day 5 & 6 Report from New York Fashion Week Spring 2016

If anyone thought that the New York Fashion Week Spring 2016 would be a drab affair, couldn’t have predicted things more wrongly. Day 5 & 6 of the fashion week was as exciting as the previous days, and if anything, the momentum is just picking up. In these couple of days, we got the opportunity to see some cool designs, fab accessories and statement make-ups. Below we have listed the designers from day 5 & 6 who made their mark effortlessly.

Carolina Herrera

The models who sashayed down the runway in Carolina Herrera creations looked not only feminine but also very pretty. The overall stress of Carolina’s collection this season was on celebrating feminism without going over-girly. Pink was the main color of the collection and different shades, ranging from rosy pink to pale blush and hot pink were seen. The designer created several variations of the A-line skirt, crop tops etc.

Reem Acra

Sexiness was redefined inReemAcra’s latest collection which was displayed on the New York Fashion Week Spring 2016. The collection reminded us of old princesses fairy tales where the ladies looked pretty in gowns. But in this very real collection, Acra had more plunging necklines, and used sheer fabrics.

Dennis Basso

Dennis Basso was completely in his element, showcasing ready-to-wear clothes that were young and spirited. His collection featured a lot of shorts, some of which seemed to indicate a future beachwear collection from the designer. The shorts were paired with wrought fur and embroidered broadtail coat. While tan crocodile, ivory linen were the colors of the collection, Basso also displayed clothes in black and multicolor. There were also embroidered halter dresses, low-cut gowns and peplum top and short combos.

Tory Burch

Tory Burch showed glimpses of chic summer separates that are bound to become trends by 2016 spring. The designer made use of iridescent fabrics, oversized accessories to create the perfect spring-summery look.
