The preference for solitaires in the Middle East in the last few months has increased substantially. In layman’s language solitaire is a single gemstone or diamond that is fixed on jewelry pieces such as earrings, pendants or rings. Ever since its invention, it has become a safe investment and a perfect gift item amid customers. Together with its enormous demand for wedding and engagement rings, the rise in demand for solitaire diamond rings as anniversary gifts has also gone up.

 

Malabar Gold & Diamonds managing director, Shamlal Ahmed stated that it is really interesting in seeing the latest trend to use solitaire diamonds for celebrating special occasions and wedding anniversaries emerge so strongly lately amid customers particularly people within the age group of 25-40.
