The International Emerald Symposium will be held in Columbia the coming October. It will be an inaugural get-together of producer countries for addressing amends facing the industry. The conference will be organized by the leading Colombian Emerald Federation, Fedesmeraldas and will address different issues and openings in branding, consumer education, technology, nomenclature, certification, manufacturing and resource management.
As per a statement that was released on Wednesday, 19th August 2015 it has been stated that the country’s ministry of energy and mines and emerald industry associated bodies of every country will support the symposium that is scheduled to take place from 13-15th October at Bogota. The statement further stated that delegations from the private and government sector of Brazil, Afghanistan and Zambia along with chief international trade organization like ICA (International Coloured Gemstone Association), AGTA (American Gem Trade Association) and Word Jewellery Confederation CIBJO will take part as well as support the event.
According to Fedesmeraldas the agenda in this Emerald Symposium will include presentations via world-class experts coming from all segments like Erica Courtney Jewellery Designer, minister of mines both from Sean Gilbertson and Zambia and Gemfields executive director.
