A beautiful green and powerful stone, Chrysoprase is said to bring fortune and prosperity in the house. Chrysoprase is the stone of spring and is also sometimes honoured as the “Mother of Jade”.
The name Chrysoprase is assumed to have been derived from the Greek word “chrysos”, which means ‘gold’ and prason, which means ‘bloom’. According to a belief, Greeks have bestowed Chrysoprase this name because of the presence of the golden droplets and speckles that are observable in the stone.
