GCDC 2015 winning entrants to exhibit at the Goldsmiths’ Centre in 2016
Goldsmiths’ Craftsmanship & Design Council Awards 2015 will showcase its prize-winning entrants at its center from January 19, 201 to March 8. The awards correspond to the peers assessed technical and design awards in the United Kingdom. The selected creations of the well-known industry figures such as GCDC envoys will too be featured.
The exhibition will showcase gold and silver prized creations from the 2015 contest and also the selected creations of the distinguished industry figures such as Leo De Vroomen, Stephen Webster as well as Shaun Leane. The biennale will include, The Uprising Ring crafted by Ornella Iannuzzi that also wins the Award sponsored by IJL and is also a winner of the Precious Jewelry. In addition, to Uprising Ring, the expo will too keep Engraved Pictorial Plate and Executive LED Lamp in a display. James Handyside, who crafted the Engraved Pictorial Plate was also an apprentice with the Goldsmiths’, won The Podolsky Award, the junior award, Die Sinkers & Seal-Engravers, Gold Award (Junior) as well as was the winner of Engravers. Further, he too won The Theo Fennell Apprentice/Master Award. Clive Taylor, who created the executive LED Lamp, won the Technological Innovation Award (senior) sponsored by the GCDC. Jos Skeates chairperson of GCDC stated that the entries won a trophy in recognition of the quality reflects their high artistic skill and talent along with the Council’s benchmark standards. On the other hand, the company’s three Ambassadors symbolize the founding ethos of the council to hearten, inspire and advance excellence in craftsmanship and design (craft skills and quality making).
