Holiday donations to charities by Gemological Institute of America

GIA (Gemological Institute of America) has donated $1,000 cash and more than 1,000 items to charities as a vacation contribution. GIA has made the donation to two charities that are helping the community near GIA’s Carlsbad, Calif., headquarters. Dress for Success San Diego and It’s All About the Kids receives the 2015 annual holidays and donations.

GIA, the Gemological Institute of America this year as a yearly drive as well as vacation contribution has donated $1,000 cash as well as more than 1,000 items to the two charities. The two charities that receive the donation serve the community near GIA’s Carlsbad, Calif., headquarters, One is Dress for Success San Diego, and the other one is It’s All About the Kids, both of these non-profit establishments work for mission to promote the economic independence as well as funding the children's charity. Dress for Success San Diego works to supply the professional attire to the disadvantaged women along with the employment resources and, on the other hand, a nonprofit foundation; It’s All About the Kids supports children’s charities. The founder and executive director Sylvia Evans-McKinney of Dress for Success San Diego shown the gratitude by saying that they are honored to be selected as one of the donees of Gemological Institute of America’s annual Holiday Gift Drive. She added that these contributions will brighten up the holiday season as well as provide a self-confidence to their clients when they enter the workforce. Angela Brannon-Baptiste, the co-founder of It’s All About the Kids Foundation stated that with the help of GIA’s employees and their generosity, the foundation can surpass its goal of making over 1,600 children's holidays brighter this year.
