Diamonds still hold an upper hand, as DPA surveys says gifting diamonds are still the strongest desire among Millennials’. Granting to the study carried out by the DPA, Millennials are about twice as likely as non-millennials to have purchased diamond jewelry as a holiday gift. People who did not receive or gift diamond didn't even remember the last year’s Christmas gift.

The online survey taken by the DPA immediately over the Thanksgiving weekend shows that the respondents aged between 18 to 64 were either married or in a committed relationship displays that more than a quarter of the gentlemen gave diamond bijouterie to their beloved last holiday season while this year one-third said they plan to. The survey, which polled 400 consumers with the annual household income of $75,000 or more included a “live sample” of the millennial. DPA’s spokesperson proclaimed in the statement stated on the 21 December that the association thinks that has to do with their desire to serve something more personal and intimate. Further, specified that this isn’t a generation that believes gift cards are the best means to express their endearment as well as a way to treat a loved one. Gifting diamond shows that the couple wants to convey their warmth for each other, moreover communicate how well they know each other. The recent result shows that diamond is the best gift to be gifted to the beloved as it is her favorite. Four out of five women keep the gift when gifted diamond rings or earrings and does not wish to exchange it for some other gift. Apprenants and other age groups said in the survey that small gifts are usually given back or forgotten.
